Electricty Supply

Utilities: Electricity Supply Cyprus. Transfer an existing electricity contract to your name, or establish a new connection.

When you buy or rent property:

You will probably need to transfer the existing electricity contract to your name, or in the case of a new property, establish a new one.

You must go to the Electricity Authority office yourself or appoint a representative;
the Cyprus Electricity offices are situated at: 87 Eleftherios Venizelos Avenue, Paphos. Tel: 26 206 000

In order to have an electricity supply in your name, you should produce your passport and a stamped contract of sale, or your stamped rental agreement, to the clerk at the new connections counter, (all contracts must be stamped at the tax office, located in the Government Buildings opposite Paphos Courts).

There is a 10 Euro (incl. VAT) for same-day connection and a 100 Euro holding deposit for citizens of the European Union and 300 euros for citizens of any other country. Electricity is charged for on a bi-monthly basis, however you can request a monthly payment plan based on estimated meter readings.
