Cross Medical Centre The Blue Cross Medical Centre was founded by a group of internationally qualified doctors seeking to establish the leading centre of excellence in medical care. The architect-designed, purpose-built premises has incorporated the latest EU regulations and fully complies with all the standards governing the design and function of a private hospital. The centre offers the most comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient treatment and services, with a committed and sincere dedication to patient, family and visitor well-being. Emphasis has been placed on making these exclusive services and facilities available to everyone and the cost of the highest standards of health care within the reach of every pocket. Only the latest, state of the art, medical equipment has been installed to accommodate today's diverse patient needs. Our excellence in patient care is further enhanced by the Blue Cross nursing team. Dedicated to their vocation, the team is headed-up by a UK-trained and qualified SRN with extensive international nursing experience. The inpatient department has been planned and designed to provide an extensive cross-section of facilities in much the same way as any modern hospital. All rooms are en-suite and fully air-conditioned. They have satellite television, direct-dial telephones and a nurse-call system. On the same level there is a high-tech intensive care unit and a separate maternity nursery. The three modern theatres provide for minor and major operations. The Medical Centre incorporates specialised equipment for the extra cororeal lithotripsy unit. Every member of the team is committed to providing every patient with only the very best in international standards of technological facilities and patient care, in a friendly atmosphere for which Cyprus is so renowned the world over. The out-patient department of the Medical Centre is conveniently located on the ground floor. From the entrance you will find the reception where our friendly staff will direct you to any of the specialist's consulting rooms. Our in-house laboratory, under the direction of our resident microbiologist, has the latest technology to provide rapid results for most laboratory investigations. The X-ray suite provides all routine diagnostic radiotherapy. A mobile X-ray unit and image intensifier is available for use with in-patients and in the theatres. The Medical Centre has its own pharmacy providing patients with all their pharmaceutical needs. Blue Cross operates a 24-hour Casualty Department, providing full medical/surgical support for all emergencies and accidents including road traffic injuries. A dental surgeon is available for all dental emergencies and prosthetic requirements. The Casualty Department operates its own ambulance service for home, hotel or airport transfers.
